About The Position

Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care, a state-of-the-art referral hospital, is seeking a full-time NY State Licensed or license eligible Veterinary Technician to join its Physical Rehabilitation team. The hospital is experiencing growth in the specialty of veterinary rehabilitation and is looking for an individual who takes pride in their work, enjoys their job, and works well in a team environment. The ideal candidate will exceed expectations, be organized, accurate, and possess the initiative to contribute to the hospital team's success. The Physical Rehabilitation department offers a variety of services including in-patient/out-patient rehab, home exercise programs, weight loss management, client education, and utilizes numerous assistive devices, therapeutic laser, electric stimulation, therapeutic massage, therapeutic exercises, therapeutic ultrasound, and a wide range of exercise equipment.

Requirements

• Must be a full-time NY State Licensed or license eligible Veterinary Technician.
• Ability to exceed expectations.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Accuracy in completing tasks.
• Initiative to do more.

• No rehabilitation experience necessary; all training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-patient/out-patient rehabilitation services.
• Develop and manage home exercise programs.
• Assist with weight loss management for patients.
• Educate clients on rehabilitation and care.
• Utilize various assistive devices and therapeutic modalities.
• Administer therapeutic laser, electric stimulation, therapeutic massage, therapeutic exercises, and therapeutic ultrasound.
• Supervise and guide patients using a wide range of exercise equipment.
