Norwich Regional Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate and engaged Veterinary Technician to join our small but mighty team. We are a one-doctor small animal general practice with a diverse clientele and a commitment to quality medicine, thoughtful scheduling, and exceptional patient care. Requirements

  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or Licensure (LVT) preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Strong patient care and technical skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and effective patient handling and restraint
  • Assist with examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures
  • Place IV catheters and provide nursing care to hospitalized patients
  • Obtain diagnostics including radiographs, blood samples, and laboratory specimens
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members
  • Support a positive and collaborative hospital environment
