About The Position
Green Mountain Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician with surgical skills to join our growing team! We are a four-doctor small animal practice serving the Golden, Lakewood, and Arvada area. Our practice is busy, our atmosphere is high-energy, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional patient care. As a general practice, we offer a wide range of services including wellness care, senior care, cold laser therapy, nutritional counseling, specialty soft tissue surgery, orthopedics, advanced dentistry, and so much more. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who wants to put strong technical and surgical skills to work while continuing to learn and grow. We prioritize technical and professional development, but we also believe your life outside the hospital matters. Requirements
- Previous veterinary technician experience
- Experience in anesthetic monitoring and perioperative care
- Strong surgical and technical skills
- Confidence working in a busy, fast-paced veterinary environment
- A commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to stay organized and focused in a high-energy atmosphere
- A collaborative, positive approach to working with doctors and fellow support staff
- A desire to continue developing both technically and professionally
- An appreciation for a workplace that values excellent medicine and healthy work-life balance
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to small animal patients
- Use your surgical skills to support veterinarians during procedures
- Assist with specialty soft tissue surgery and orthopedic procedures
- Support advanced dentistry and other technical procedures
- Assist with diagnostics, treatments, and general patient care
- Support wellness and senior care appointments
- Help deliver services including cold laser therapy and nutritional counseling
- Monitor patients and provide attentive care throughout their hospital experience
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and teammates
- Collaborate with our doctors and support staff to keep patient care efficient and organized in a fast-paced environment
