About The Position
Sploot is seeking a Veterinary Technician for its Urgent Care + General Practice. This role offers flexible shifts, no overnights, and a supportive work environment focused on high-quality medicine and work-life balance. The position involves a balanced mix of urgent care and wellness cases, with strong pre-visit triage to ensure preparedness for appointments. The clinic utilizes tech-forward tools, including a laparoscopic surgery suite and AI scribe software, and maintains a highly skilled nursing team with a favorable Nurse to DVM ratio.
Requirements
- RVT — Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Colorado
- 1+ year of vet tech experience
- Team-first mindset — collaborative, communicative, and willing to jump in where needed
- Organized and proactive in a fast-paced environment, with a sharp eye for detail
- Compassionate with pets, patient with clients, and motivated to keep growing
Nice To Haves
- Emergency or urgent care experience
- Experience or interest in dentistry or anesthesia
Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians with surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring, treatments, and diagnostics.
- Perform blood draws, lab work, IV catheter placement, radiographs, medication and vaccine administration, and wound care assistance.
- Guide and reassure pet parents by clearly communicating care plans and at-home instructions.
- Maintain accurate digital records (with AI scribe support), restock supplies, and keep equipment clean and sterilized.
- Contribute to a positive, solutions-focused team environment and support the growth of veterinary assistants.
