About The Position

Family Pet Clinic is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. The role supports veterinarians with examinations, surgery, anesthesia, recovery, and other technical duties, while communicating with clients and helping maintain a clean, stocked, and safe hospital environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays and two evening shifts per week. The hospital closes from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for lunch. Pay is $21–$25 per hour, based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.

Family Pet Clinic is a full-service veterinary practice with locations in Southampton and Feasterville and a new facility opening in Horsham. It has served dogs, cats, and their owners for over 25 years, offers modern services and amenities, and is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). The clinic is dedicated to celebrating diversity and providing inclusive service in the community.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of veterinary experience.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
• Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Keep examination rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
