VCA West Coast Specialty and Emergency Animal Hospital is looking for a Surgery Registered Veterinary Technician. As a member of the VCA team, you will support Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Physical examinations, patient assessment, and collecting patient histories
  • Processing laboratory samples in-house
  • Preparing laboratory samples for outside labs
  • Managing medical records, reports and correspondence
  • Assist with Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology, Ultrasound, CT Scans)
  • Assist with patient recovery
  • Pharmacy
  • Venipuncture/catheter placement
  • Knowledge and experience with chemotherapy drugs and safety protocols
  • Safe animal restraint and handling
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Effective verbal, listening, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
