Requirements

• 2+ years of veterinary experience (surgical/anesthesia experience preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work calmly under pressure
• A positive, collaborative attitude and strong communication skills
• A commitment to patient safety and client education

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in surgical prep, induction, and recovery
• Monitor patient vitals while under anesthesia and adjust as needed
• Administer vaccines and treatments with accuracy and care
• Calculate medication dosages and ensure correct delivery
• Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records
• Educate clients about post-op care, medications, and home instructions
• Uphold surgical suite cleanliness and hospital biosecurity standards
• Safe and effective animal restraint
• Collecting and processing lab samples (blood, urine, etc.)
• Administering oral and injectable medications
• Taking thorough medical and vaccine histories
• Assisting with surgical preparation and post-op recovery
• Following strict sterilization and cleanliness protocols
