About The Position

Friendship Hospital for Animals, a premier AAHA-accredited facility located in Washington, D.C., is seeking a credentialed veterinary technician supervisor to lead our Emergency and ICU teams. We are seeking a credentialed veterinary technician for a dynamic clinical leadership role in our Emergency and ICU departments. The ideal candidate is passionate about emergency medicine and committed to cultivating that same enthusiasm within their team. From the clinical floor, you will lead, mentor, and support veterinary technicians and assistants, working in close collaboration with veterinarians and hospital leadership to promote a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and top-tier patient care. You will also play an active role in inter-departmental meetings, helping to enhance hospital operations while ensuring compliance with established protocols and best practices.

Requirements

  • Credentialed veterinary technician (LVT, CVT, RVT) or eligibility to obtain licensure in any state required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in emergency and critical care veterinary medicine.
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience in a related role.
  • Embrace a nurturing, cooperative, and ethical environment.

Nice To Haves

  • ECC specialty training/VTS highly preferred
