About The Position

Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital is seeking an overnight ER or ICU Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join their team. Points East is the only specialty hospital east of Raleigh, NC, and is a privately owned, VECCS-certified Level III hospital operating out of a new, state-of-the-art facility. They offer specialty care in Surgery, Critical Care, and Internal Medicine, supported by Advanced Diagnostic Imaging. The hospital is committed to providing exceptional, comprehensive specialty care with up-to-date diagnostic techniques, advanced treatment options, and round-the-clock staffing.

Requirements

• Experience working in a veterinary emergency, ICU, or critical care setting.
• Strong understanding of veterinary emergency procedures, patient handling, and basic medical terminology.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with the veterinary team and pet owners in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Demonstrated care and empathy for canine and feline patients, providing comfort and reassurance to patients in distress.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail to accurately report patient behavior and condition to the veterinary team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
