About The Position
This is a full-time position, 36 hours a week, providing technical support to our Avian/Exotics Veterinarian. The role involves assisting with case management and technical procedures for Avian/Exotic patients, as well as communication with clients and referring veterinarians. The position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a client-focused setting with support from the larger MSPCA-Angell Boston hospital. Requirements
- Experienced Assistant or Certified Vet Technician.
- Avian/Exotic specific technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia, gavage feeding, medication administration, and critical care.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to Avian/Exotics Veterinarian.
- Assist with case management of Avian/Exotic patients.
- Assist with technical procedures of Avian/Exotic patients.
- Communicate with clients and referring veterinarians.
