Veterinary Technician or Assistant - Avian/Exotics at Angell West
About The Position
This is a full-time position, 36 hours a week, with a schedule of 7:30 am to 8 pm, Thursday through Saturday, including rotating holidays. We are seeking an experienced Assistant or a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Waltham team. This role involves providing technical support to our Avian/Exotics Veterinarian, assisting with case management and technical procedures for Avian/Exotic patients, and communicating with clients and referring veterinarians. The position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a client-focused setting, supported by the extensive resources of the larger MSPCA-Angell Boston hospital. Requirements
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Certified Vet Technician.
- Avian/Exotic specific technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia, gavage feeding, medication administration, and critical care.
