Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and detail-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team. This role provides nursing and technical support to patients receiving cancer diagnostics, treatments, and ongoing care within the oncology service. This role works closely with oncologists, fellow technicians, assistants, and client service teams to ensure safe treatment delivery, compassionate client communication, thorough documentation, and excellent continuity of care. This individual will thrive in a specialty environment that requires both strong technical ability and the ability to support clients through emotional and complex medical situations. A typical day may include preparing patients for appointments and treatments, obtaining histories, assisting with diagnostics, placing IV catheters, administering medications and chemotherapy as directed, monitoring patients during treatments, educating clients, and helping ensure that every patient visit is handled with compassion and precision. Throughout the day, you will help support patients receiving ongoing care while also serving as a reassuring and knowledgeable resource for the families who love them. This role is ideal for a technician who values meaningful client connection, thrives on organization and clinical detail, and takes pride in helping patients receive thoughtful, high-quality care during some of their most important visits.
