Veterinary Technician Internal Medicine

Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is looking for full-time Veterinary Technicians to join our Internal Medicine team. As a Vet Tech in the Internal Medicine department, you will be responsible for performing anesthetic monitoring including intubation/extubation of patients, monitoring vitals, and troubleshooting of machines. You will also obtain and prepare various blood samples for diagnostic testing, accurately take and process multiple types of radiographs, and participate in endoscopic procedures, including obtaining biopsy specimens and maintaining equipment. Additionally, you will assist during ultrasound procedures and provide client education on common internal medicine diseases (e.g., immune-mediated diseases, kidney disease and failure, diabetes, and Cushing's).
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a progressive veterinary hospital setting required
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring is required
- Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and working knowledge of radiographic techniques is required
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required
- Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected
Nice To Haves
- RVT preferred. Assistant with 4-5 years experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
