About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists. We believe in high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care, and making that happen through dedication and learning. The position is for four, 10-hour shifts, 8:30 am-7 pm or 10 am-8:30 pm. This will include at least one weekend day (unless you are a glittery unicorn that really, really wants to work Saturdays AND Sundays, which we would be happy to accommodate).

Requirements

• Experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
• Experience in Veterinary Medicine

Responsibilities

• Maintaining medical records.
• Preparing for and performing procedures and treatments.
• Preparing medications and prescriptions.
• Communicating in person and on the phone with clients.
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Assisting in procedures.
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets.
• Assisting in other areas of the hospital, as needed.
