About The Position

MissionVet Specialty & Emergency (MVS) is seeking an ER Veterinary Technician to join their team. This role is crucial for providing exceptional care to critically ill and injured patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. The technician will work closely with veterinarians on advanced diagnostic, treatment, anesthesia, and monitoring procedures, while also offering compassionate support to clients. The position is full-time, with 3 x 12-hour shifts from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am.

Requirements

Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) or Skilled Technicians with at least two years of experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus
The ability to thrive under pressure and make informed decisions in fast-paced situations.
A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to patient well-being.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in Emergency and Critical Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

Experience or familiarity with emergency care, including advanced ICU monitoring, CRI calculations, and fluid rate management.
Assessing and stabilizing critically ill patients while working closely with the veterinary team.
Administering medications and treatments under the direction of experienced veterinarians.
Providing compassionate support to concerned pet owners and keeping them informed about their pets' condition.
Ensuring accurate and detailed medical record-keeping.
Collaborating with veterinarians and team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
