About The Position

Red Bank Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Technician to support their Radiologists and hospital team. This role involves facilitating efficient patient care for animals receiving diagnostic imaging, assisting with daily tasks, and collaborating closely with all departments across the hospital. The position is located in a new, state-of-the-art 100,000+ sq. ft. hospital designed for advanced specialty and emergency care, featuring advanced imaging equipment like MRI, CT, and PET scanning.

Requirements

Two or more years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a veterinary hospital.
Demonstrated proficiency with computers, electronic medical records, and data entry.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency and critical care environment.
Fluent English skills (speaking and reading) required.

Nice To Haves

LVT, CVT, or RVT credential preferred
Previous experience working in an emergency or specialty veterinary hospital preferred
RECOVER CPR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily patient schedules and assist with prioritization in collaboration with Radiologists and Specialty teams.
Intake patients for referral imaging and facilitate safe movement between departments and imaging rooms.
Position, restrain, and monitor patients during radiographs, ultrasounds, CT scans, and other imaging procedures.
Perform venipuncture (catheter placement, blood draws, drug administration) and process lab specimens.
Administer and monitor sedation under the direction of Specialists or Anesthesiologists.
Upload and manage imaging files in the viewing database; document patient care and charges in medical systems.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on positioning and image quality, training team members as needed.
Support hospital operations by maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
