Ability to handle animals with care, even the stressed-out ones.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling tasks like a pro.
Comfortable using veterinary software for records and documentation.
Physically fit to handle animals of all sizes- up to 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

Licensure in veterinary technology (RVT) for the state of NC preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with patient examinations, procedures, and surgeries, ensuring all equipment and supplies are prepared and ready.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
Perform various laboratory tests, including bloodwork, urinalysis, and diagnostic imaging.
Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized and recovering patients, including wound management, IV catheterization, and fluid therapy.
Educate pet owners on post-operative care, medication administration, and disease management.
Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment.
Communicate with pet owners, explain treatment plans, providing updates on patient status, and addressing any questions or concerns.
Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, and proper handling techniques.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories.
Ensure timely and complete documentation in accordance with veterinary standards.
Collaborate effectively with veterinarians, other veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care and client service.
Provide guidance and mentorship to veterinary assistants and other team members.
