Requirements

  • Current California RVT license preferred for technician candidates
  • Experienced Veterinary Assistants are encouraged to apply
  • Strong patient handling and nursing skills
  • Experience with venipuncture, diagnostics, radiology, and laboratory procedures
  • Surgical and anesthesia experience is highly valued
  • Excellent communication and client education skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Provide compassionate nursing care from intake through discharge
  • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, sample collection, and laboratory procedures
  • Obtain high-quality radiographs
  • Monitor patients and provide supportive care
  • Support surgical and dental procedures, including patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Educate clients on medications, discharge instructions, preventive care, and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
  • Collaborate with the team to provide an exceptional client and patient experience
