About The Position

Windermere Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant. This role is for a part-time position with a competitive salary based on experience and skill set. The schedule is 2 days a week with rotating Saturdays, offering no evenings, weekends, or holidays. Requirements

  • Experience as a Veterinary Technician, Licensed Veterinary Technician, or experienced Veterinary Assistant
  • Strong technical skills, including phlebotomy, anesthesia support, and patient care
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Positive attitude and collaborative approach
  • Passion for veterinary medicine and patient advocacy
  • Desire to continue learning and expanding clinical skills

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients, obtain patient histories, and assist during appointments
  • Perform diagnostic testing and laboratory procedures
  • Collect blood samples and place IV catheters
  • Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia
  • Perform dental prophylaxis and digital dental radiography
  • Deliver treatments and direct patient nursing care
  • Take and process digital radiographs
  • Fill prescriptions and support pharmacy workflow
  • Educate clients and discuss wellness plans
  • Deliver compassionate care and exceptional client experiences
