About The Position

Norwell Veterinary Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $20.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience. The schedule includes Monday–Friday, alternating Saturdays, and 1–2 evening shifts per week. Norwell Veterinary Hospital is a seven-doctor small animal general practice and urgent care hospital known for exceptional client service, strong teamwork, and a positive workplace culture. Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate medical records
  • Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and equipment
  • Safely restrain patients during examinations and procedures
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and anesthesia as directed
  • Monitor anesthesia, patient vital signs, and recovery
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform diagnostic testing
  • Provide nursing care for hospitalized and recovering patients
  • Educate clients on medications, treatments, and preventive care
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area
  • Feed, clean, and monitor hospitalized animals
  • Support daily hospital operations and workflow
