Requirements

  • Experience with basic animal handling
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow directions and seek clarification when needed
  • Proficiency with computer systems and medical recordkeeping
  • Commitment to professional growth and development

Responsibilities

  • Help with diagnostic procedures such as echocardiograms, ECGs, and thoracic radiographs
  • Restrain and handle canine and feline patients safely and confidently
  • Assist with medication administration, patient monitoring, and outpatient treatments
  • Provide patient care responsibilities including husbandry, laundry, walking dogs, and cleaning kennels
  • Communicate with clients clearly and compassionately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in exam rooms and shared areas
  • Help stock supplies and assist with department scheduling and patient flow
  • Accurately document care and communication in medical records
