About The Position
Angell Animal Medical Center is seeking a certified vet technician or experienced vet assistant to join their skilled anesthesia team. This position is ideal for a certified technician looking to work in an innovative and challenging environment alongside top veterinary professionals. The role involves anesthetizing a wide variety of patients, including those undergoing orthopedic, soft tissue, thoracic, and cardiac procedures, as well as avian and exotic patients.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of anesthesia specific experience within the veterinary field.
- Must be a current Certified Veterinary Technician within the state of MA or hold a CVT/LVT in another state and be eligible to transfer certification to Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to a wide and varied assortment of patients including orthopedic, soft tissue (adrenalectomies), thoracic (pericardial windows, lung lobectomies), cardiac (balloons, pacemakers), and a variety of avian and exotic patients.
