Veterinary Technician - Anesthesia - Mid-Shift
About The Position
Metropolitan Veterinary Associates is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician specializing in anesthesia. The technician plans and prepares individualized anesthesia protocols in collaboration with a veterinary anesthesiologist and other specialists, administers and monitors anesthesia, assists with surgical and diagnostic procedures, and manages perioperative pain control. The role also maintains accurate records of anesthesia protocols, drug usage, and patient responses to support consistent, informed care. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Starting pay is $26 per hour, plus shift differentials. The posting offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, a $1,500 relocation bonus, and a $2,000 retention bonus.
Requirements
- Experience in a fast-paced specialty, emergency, or surgical setting.
- Strong clinical skills, including IV catheter placement and venipuncture.
- Understanding of pharmacology and anesthesia protocols.
- Confidence in anesthesia monitoring and patient assessment.
- Commitment to collaboration.
