About The Position

Angell Animal Medical Center is seeking a certified vet technician or experienced vet assistant to join their skilled anesthesia team. This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week and a flexible schedule, including rotating weekends and holidays. Additional pay is provided for on-call duties. The anesthesia department is equipped with 3 board-certified anesthesiologists, 4 board-certified surgeons, 3 resident surgeons, 7 surgical suites, and state-of-the-art monitoring and surgical equipment. This role offers an innovative and challenging environment working with a diverse range of patients including orthopedic, soft tissue, thoracic, and cardiac cases, as well as avian and exotic patients.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of anesthesia specific experience within the veterinary field.
Current Certified Veterinary Technician within the state of MA or hold a CVT/LVT in another state and are eligible to transfer your certification to Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

Administer anesthesia to a wide and varied assortment of patients including orthopedic, soft tissue (adrenalectomies), thoracic (pericardial windows, lung lobectomies), cardiac (balloons, pacemakers), and a variety of avian and exotic patients.
