You will be actively involved in advanced procedures such as ACL TPLO, Arthroscopy, Patellar Luxation, Elbow and Hip Dysplasia repair, Fracture Repair, and Gait Analysis. Our surgeons have extensive training, including PhD research in canine hip replacement, and utilize state-of-the-art diagnostics and techniques like 3D printing and virtual surgery to plan and execute complex cases. Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent (must be at least 18 years old).
• Veterinary assistant experience is required.
• A calm and efficient approach, with the ability to handle a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• The physical capability to lift and carry animals up to 40 lbs, with comfort in prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and physical activity.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a surgical or sterile environment is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and technicians with patient exams, triage, and surgical procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, administer oral medications, and take radiographs.
• Prepare patients for surgery by clipping and aseptically scrubbing surgical sites.
• Assist with positioning and restraint during surgical procedures.
• Support sterile technique in the surgical suite.
• Assist with surgical pack preparation, instrument cleaning, and autoclaving/sterilization.
• Monitor patients during recovery, manage pain, and ensure patient comfort.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile facility.
• Discharge patients and review post-surgical treatment plans, incision care, and follow-up instructions with clients.
• Assist with client service operations such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
• Accurately maintain medical records, prescriptions, and invoices using computer systems.
• Support surgical suite turnover between procedures.
• Help monitor surgical supply inventory.
• Assist with training new teammates.
