About The Position
Bay State Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services (BSVESS) is seeking an experienced Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon, with a particular interest in orthopedic surgery, to join their established surgical team. BSVESS is a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital that has been operating since 2006. In summer 2024, they moved into a new 36,000-square-foot facility, expanding their services to include ophthalmology, cardiology, dermatology, and a radiation oncology center. As a sister hospital to Ocean State Veterinary Specialists (OSVS), there are opportunities for case collaboration with a large community of doctors. The role involves a balance of acute soft tissue and orthopedic surgical work, along with elective orthopedics, in a busy emergency hospital with a growing caseload. Requirements
- Diplomate of ACVS or residency trained, eligible to sit for certifying exam.
- Eligible for a veterinary license to practice in Massachusetts.
- Enjoy and be willing to frequently perform orthopedic surgical procedures.
