About The Position

Trupanion is seeking a driven, reliable, and organized individual with a passion for pets and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a veterinary hospital environment. This part-time role involves building, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with veterinary practices in the Seminole County area. The associate will visit practices, educate staff on the benefits of insured clients, and help integrate this into their workflow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced vet tech or practice manager. The position requires a 16-hour per week commitment, a high level of activity for continued growth, and openness to development. Compensation includes a base salary plus commission and bonuses, with potential for year-over-year earnings growth. Employment is contingent on obtaining a Property and Casualty license in Florida, which involves a background check.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a veterinary hospital environment.
  • Passion for helping eliminate economic euthanasia in dogs & cats.
  • Ability to build relationships with partnering veterinarian practices.
  • Ability to present to hospital owners and staff with confidence.
  • Pet passionate and possess a strong belief in the mission to give responsible pet owners the ability to provide the best care for their pet when it becomes sick or injured.
  • Able to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Innate entrepreneurial drive, embodying an attitude of persistence and patience.
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Must possess a valid and clean driver’s license record and reliable car.
  • Must live in or near Seminole County.
  • Willing to travel to visit hospitals 16 hours per week.
  • Must acquire and maintain a P&C Insurance License in order to be employed.
  • Must complete 1-week remote training (Zoom video & highly interactive).
  • Must complete TruSpark training.

Responsibilities

  • Visit veterinary practices to build relationships.

  • Attend occasional weekends for Veterinary Conferences.
