About The Position

Huntsville Pet Vet is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. This role involves maintaining the hospital reception area, greeting clients and patients, answering questions, managing calls and emails, scheduling appointments, and processing check-ins, check-outs, and payments. The receptionist will also provide emotional support to clients during difficult times and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. The position requires the ability to tolerate unpleasant odors and noises, and potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases. Requirements

Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
Greet and welcome clients and patients
Answer questions and triage client concerns
Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
Check in and check out clients
Process payments
Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients
Be comfortable with various medical outcomes
Withstand unpleasant odors and noises
Be prepared for potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
