About The Position

The Pet Wellness Group is hiring a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our veterinary clients, playing a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. We are looking for a customer service professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and is passionate about animal care. Our hospital combines progressive veterinary medicine with personalized service in a warm, welcoming environment. We are a full-service pet hospital that offers comprehensive medical services for pets in the Florence, Hebron, Burlington and Union areas. From wellness exams and dentistry to surgery and urgent care, we offer a full range of services tailored to meet each pet’s unique needs. Our state-of-the-art facility is designed with both pets and pet parents in mind, and our experienced team is committed to making every visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.
Ensure accurate service and product sales accounting, handle payments, process credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments.
Answer client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests.
Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.
Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience.
