Requirements

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist
• Strong customer service and client communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint skills, with a focus on low-stress or Fear Free techniques
• Experience coordinating appointments, managing schedules, and optimizing clinic flow
• Comfort learning and using practice management software, including Avimark
• A positive, supportive approach and commitment to teamwork and mutual respect
• A desire to grow professionally while encouraging the growth of others
• A genuine appreciation for cats and the people who love them

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and efficiently manage a multi-doctor calendar
• Check patients in and out while ensuring client and patient information is accurate
• Collect payments and process invoices and returns
• Handle prescription and refill requests
• Manage appointment flow and communicate effectively with the medical team
• Recognize situations that may require same-day evaluation, urgent or emergency care, or routine appointment scheduling based on established clinic protocols
• Help create a positive, compassionate experience for clients and their cats
• Support safe and effective patient handling and restraint using low-stress or Fear Free techniques
• Work collaboratively with teammates to help keep the hospital organized and running smoothly
