About The Position

Our Veterinary Receptionists are often the first point of contact clients have with our hospital, and we know just how important that role is. We’re looking for a compassionate, organized, and customer-focused Veterinary Receptionist / Customer Service Representative to join our team and help create a welcoming, professional, and supportive experience for every client and patient who walks through our doors. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping both people and pets, and values teamwork, communication, and exceptional client service. As an essential member of our veterinary team, you’ll help support daily hospital operations while building meaningful relationships with clients and their pets.

Requirements

  • Previous receptionist or customer service experience required
  • Strong communication and client service skills
  • Comfortable using multiple computer platforms and communication tools
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
  • Positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
  • Compassion for animals and the people who care for them
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to continue learning veterinary terminology and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Veterinary hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
  • Answer phones and handle calls efficiently using a multi-line phone system
  • Schedule appointments and help maintain an effective daily schedule
  • Receive, relay, and document client communication through phone, email, text, and fax
  • Process invoices and accurately handle payment transactions
  • Maintain accurate client and patient information within Cornerstone and DemandForce
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and client education
  • Communicate doctor recommendations clearly and empathetically to clients
  • Support front desk organization, cleanliness, and overall hospital workflow
  • Help maintain a positive and respectful reception environment for clients and team members alike
