About The Position

Creature Comforts Veterinary Resort and Suites (CCVRS) is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greeting and welcoming clients and patients, answering questions, triaging client concerns, and managing calls and emails. The receptionist will also schedule appointments to maximize efficiency, check clients in and out, and process payments. A key aspect of this role is providing friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to clients, and comfort with various medical outcomes is essential. The position requires the ability to withstand unpleasant odors and noises, and may involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases. CCVRS offers opportunities for growth through virtual and hands-on training and continuing development.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Highly organized
Possess computer skills
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises
May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases

Responsibilities

Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
Greet and welcome clients and patients
Answer questions and triage client concerns
Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
Check in and check out clients
Process payments
Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to clients
Be comfortable with various medical outcomes
