About The Position

Wieuca Animal Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. This role involves maintaining the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greeting and welcoming clients and patients, answering questions, triaging client concerns, and handling calls or emails. The receptionist will also be responsible for scheduling appointments efficiently, checking clients in and out, and processing payments. A key aspect of this role is providing friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner to clients during difficult times, and being comfortable with various medical outcomes. The position requires the ability to withstand unpleasant odors and noises, and may involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases. The clinic offers opportunities for growth through virtual and hands-on training and continuing development.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience required

Responsibilities

Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
Greet and welcome clients and patients

Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
Check in and check out clients
Process payments
Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to clients

Handle potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
