About The Position

Wedington Animal Hospital is seeking a Second Shift Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. This role involves maintaining the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greeting and welcoming clients and patients, answering questions, triaging client concerns, and managing calls and emails. The receptionist will also be responsible for scheduling appointments to maximize efficiency, checking clients in and out, and processing payments. A key aspect of this role is providing friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner to clients during times of need, and being comfortable with various medical outcomes. The position requires the ability to withstand unpleasant odors and noises, and may involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases. The hospital offers opportunities for growth through virtual and hands-on training and continuing development.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Highly organized
Possess computer skills
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
Ability to authorize and complete a satisfactory background check

Responsibilities
