YOUR DAY-TO-DAY As our Veterinary Practice Manager, you will work full-time on-site at our New Braunfels, TX clinic. The schedule may include uncommon hours, occasional overtime, and being on call for emergency situations. Flexibility is essential in supporting the needs of the clinic and our team. Each day, you will oversee hiring and training, manage financial statements and budgets, and orchestrate the smooth running of daily clinic activities. Your day will include monitoring key performance indicators, working with accountants, processing payroll, and maintaining a robust inventory. You will ensure the clinic software is up-to-date and effective, oversee equipment and facility maintenance, and implement important safety and security protocols. In addition, you will foster a positive and cooperative work environment, resolve client and staff concerns, and play a vital part in business entities associated with the clinic.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience working in a veterinary practice
  • Demonstrated competence in budgeting, financial reporting, and staff management
  • Work exposure to all aspects of a business enterprise
  • Compassion for people and animals
  • Ability to work under broad general supervision and exercise sound judgment
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with Texas employment laws
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit/stand for extended periods
  • Tactful "take-charge" capabilities and ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Willingness to work uncommon hours, overtime, and respond to emergency situations
  • Multitasking ability and strong organizational skills
  • Quick learner of veterinary terminology
