About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned Veterinary Practice Manager to lead the reopening of an established veterinary hospital. This is a unique opportunity to build a team, shape hospital culture, and play a key leadership role from day one. The Practice Manager will play a key role in preparing the hospital for reopening, recruiting and developing a strong team, and ensuring the hospital operates smoothly while delivering exceptional care to pets and their families. Requirements

  • 3+ years of veterinary practice management experience required
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing hospital operations
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing budgets, inventory, and operational performance
  • A proactive leader who thrives in building systems and teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience helping open or relaunch a veterinary hospital is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Hospital Reopening: Partner with leadership and the Medical Director to prepare the hospital for a successful reopening, Help rebuild a strong, collaborative team culture, Establish workflows, processes, and operational standards
  • Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, hire, and onboard veterinary support staff, Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for the team, Foster a positive, supportive, and high-performing work environment
  • Hospital Operations & Performance: Oversee daily hospital operations and ensure efficient workflows, Monitor key performance metrics and help drive hospital growth, Manage scheduling, staffing, and operational priorities
  • Financial & Inventory Management: Manage hospital budgets and expenses, including inventory and labor, Ensure effective inventory management and supply ordering, Partner with leadership to support the hospital’s financial success
  • Client Experience: Promote an exceptional client experience and high-quality patient care, Support the team in handling client concerns and creating lasting relationships with pet owners
