Requirements

3–5+ years of leadership experience in a veterinary hospital, specialty/ER, or healthcare environment
Experience managing veterinary support staff
Strong understanding of veterinary medicine workflows
Budget and financial management experience
Familiarity with PIMS systems (Cornerstone, Avimark, ezyVet, etc.)

Nice To Haves

CVPM certification (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager)
Multi-doctor veterinary practice experience
Demonstrated success improving hospital performance metrics

Responsibilities

Build and retain a high-performing veterinary team
Provide structured coaching, feedback, and performance management
Promote accountability, collaboration, and emotional intelligence
Reduce burnout through efficient workflows and staffing models
Partner with the Medical Director and Regional support on hospital strategy and case support
Oversee staffing, scheduling, compliance, and vendor management
Maintain inventory control and cost management
Ensure OSHA and regulatory compliance
Optimize appointment flow and client experience
Manage P&L performance and hospital budgets
Monitor KPIs (revenue, transactions, labor %, inventory %)
Identify growth opportunities in dentistry, surgery, wellness plans, and preventive care
Implement strategic initiatives to increase client retention and new client acquisition
Partner with business and operational support teams at Innovetive Petcare
Support elevated client communication standards
Resolve escalated concerns with professionalism and empathy
Represent the hospital within the Chattanooga community
