Veterinary Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
Bay Animal Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Veterinary Pharmacy Technician to support its veterinary team and patient care. The role involves accurately filling prescriptions, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of veterinary medications and dosing. Prior experience in a veterinary or pharmacy setting is a plus. This is a full-time position with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday through Friday. Compensation is $23–$25 per hour for each hour worked. Bay Animal Hospital is a large, AAHA-accredited small-animal practice caring for dogs and cats. Its facilities include 8 exam rooms, digital X-ray, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and ECG. The practice handles soft tissue surgery, dentistry, orthopedic procedures, and mass removals, and works with visiting orthopedic and cardiology specialists. The team is described as upbeat, family-oriented, collaborative, and supportive.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of pharmacy experience.
- California Pharmacy Technician License.
- Proficiency in filling medications.
- Excellent client communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous veterinary experience is highly desired.
- Prior experience in a veterinary or pharmacy setting is a plus.
