Veterinary Ophthalmologist
About The Position
Guardian Veterinary is seeking a Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join their state-of-the-art 30,000 square foot facility in Brewster, NY. This is a 24/7 emergency and specialty small animal hospital that offers a wide range of services including Neurology, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Oncology, Sports Medicine, Rehabilitation, Blood Bank, and diagnostic imaging. Guardian Veterinary is committed to providing exceptional care and fosters a team-oriented culture with opportunities for growth and learning. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or eligible in Ophthalmology and possess a passion for animals, a desire to learn, and the ability to work day, overnight, and swing shifts.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Certified Eligible in Ophthalmology.
- Must be open to working day, overnight and swing shifts as needed to see clients.
- Love of animals and a passion to help and heal, first and foremost.
- The desire to continually learn and grow.
- Must have their own reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Provide specialized veterinary ophthalmology care to small animal patients.
- Work collaboratively with a team of other specialty veterinarians and support staff.
- Be available to see clients during day, overnight, and swing shifts as needed.
- Maintain a calming presence in potentially chaotic situations.
- Adapt to the ebb and flow of the day and change course as necessary while adhering to guidelines.
- Demonstrate exceptional judgment.
- Continuously learn and grow in the field of veterinary ophthalmology.
