About The Position

NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re searching for someone dedicated to making a difference! We are looking for a term instructor for our Health Administration and Technology team at our downtown campus to teach in our Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) program. This program teaches skills in veterinary office administration. As a NorQuest Instructor, you will facilitate learning in a variety of modalities, and this will require the use of technology to deliver engaging learner experiences. Instructors help our learners acquire the skills, knowledge and attitude to be successful in their chosen career. You will need to possess excellent organizational and communication skills and have a passion for providing instruction and feedback that allows our students to apply skills in a safe and inclusive environment. We have one full-time, term instructor position available at our downtown campus. Instructors will need to teach courses in the Veterinary Office Assistant program and other programs. Instructors must be available to teach classes Monday to Friday, during the day, at our downtown campus as well as online.

Requirements

  • At least two years of recent experience working in the veterinary industry.
  • Active membership/registration with a veterinary association (e.g. RVT, DVM)
  • At least three years of teaching experience
  • Proficiency in using technology
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching using Moodle and/or Kaltura would be a benefit.
  • Ability to teach a variety of courses.
