About The Position

Sugar Land Veterinary Specialty and Emergency (SLVS) is seeking a full-time Veterinary Neurologist to join their multi-disciplinary hospital. SLVS has been providing high-level referral and emergency services since 2007 in a 19,000-square-foot facility. The hospital emphasizes a culture of shared learning with daily rounds for peer-to-peer mentoring and support. SLVS specializes in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Critical Care, Oncology, and Imaging. The facility is equipped to manage complex cases with a skilled team and advanced technology, including an on-site imaging suite with CT and MRI, interventional radiology capabilities, and minimally invasive tools for various procedures.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
Board certification or eligibility in Veterinary Neurology (DACVIM or equivalent).
Experience in a multi-disciplinary specialty hospital setting.
Proficiency in managing high-volume, high-complexity cases.
Willingness to share expertise and participate in a collaborative learning environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with advanced imaging (CT, MRI).
Experience with interventional radiology.
Experience with minimally invasive surgical techniques (laparoscopy, arthroscopy, cystoscopy, endoscopy).

Responsibilities

Manage all cases to the highest standard with the support of a fully equipped and staffed ER and ICU.
Share expertise with a dedicated team of specialists and skilled ER colleagues.
Participate in daily rounds for peer-to-peer mentoring and support.
