About The Position

A veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Lead Veterinarian to provide high-quality medical care while leading and mentoring the clinical team. This role combines hands-on veterinary medicine with team leadership, client communication, and practice support. Requirements

DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited program.
Active veterinary license in good standing.
DEA license and other required professional credentials.
Strong clinical and communication skills.
Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with veterinary professionals.
Compassionate, client-focused approach to patient care.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel as required.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive veterinary care, including examinations, diagnostics, medical, surgical, and dental procedures.
Diagnose conditions and develop and explain appropriate treatment plans to clients.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Lead, mentor, and support veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and other clinical team members.
Provide feedback and guidance to improve medical quality, teamwork, client service, and efficiency.
Support the development and professional growth of the clinical team.
Follow established medical, safety, operating, and compliance procedures.
Stay current with developments in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education.
Promote a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
Perform additional duties and travel as needed.
