About The Position

Desert Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Medical Director to join their team. This AAHA accredited hospital has been serving the Yuma community for over 30 years and is looking to expand due to a growing pet population. The clinic offers a collaborative, teaching-focused environment with a highly skilled team of nurses and doctors. They provide modern equipment in a 10,000sf building, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house labs, a dental suite, surgical laser, and a CT machine. The practice focuses on general practice, exotics, and orthopedics, with an average daily patient volume of 20. The support staff ratio is 3:1, and the case mix includes wellness, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care. The clinic emphasizes trust, compassion, stability, and communication in its client relationships.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

Practice exceptional medicine and surgery with the full support of medical systems and team.
Provide medical leadership and support to the veterinary team.
Mentor new graduates or established veterinarians.

Contribute to a positive, supportive, and teaching-focused culture.
