About The Position

Veterinary Specialty Hospital North County is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. Requirements

  • Veterinary medicine experience
  • Previous laboratory experience

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, calibrating, and troubleshooting laboratory analyzers
  • Processing and running in-house diagnostics including: CBCs, Chemistry panels, Coagulation testing, Urinalysis, Blood typing and crossmatching, Cultures, Cytology and fluid analysis, Serology testing, Fecal testing
  • Preparing specimens for shipment and managing send-out testing
  • Entering, reporting, and releasing laboratory results
  • Assisting with phone inquiries and add-on testing requests
  • Preparing cultures for plating or shipping
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment, supplies, and biohazard compliance
