The kennel technician is responsible for the care, feeding, medicating, and cleaning of our patients in the hospital and our clients in the boarding facility. This role involves cleaning, laundry, bathing, feeding, walking dogs, and administering medications. The technician will also be responsible for restocking hospital supplies, assisting with post-operative patients, and supporting doctors and assistants with animal restraint and exams. Proper recordkeeping of medications, special foods, appetite, behavior, and any issues that arise while the animal is in our care is crucial. Training will be provided for cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments. The average hours worked per week is 10-15.
