Veterinary Kennel Technician
About The Position
Wieuca Animal Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Kennel Technician, described as a 'Professional Pet Spoiler & Clean-Up Champion!'. This role involves providing care to hospitalized pets, including feeding, walking, cuddling, and reassuring them. The technician will also be responsible for cleaning kennels, monitoring pet health, reporting concerns to the veterinary team, and assisting technicians and doctors as needed. The clinic is a progressive, 5-doctor companion animal practice located in Sandy Springs, GA, offering comprehensive care and a fun, supportive team culture.
Requirements
- Experience working with animals (preferred, but will train the right human)
- Calm, patient, and kind demeanor
- Ability to handle enthusiastic tail wags and occasional dramatic animals
- Not afraid of fur on scrubs
- Ability to handle lifting (up to 50 lbs), lots of walking, cleaning, and occasional 'surprise' messes
Nice To Haves
- Becoming best friends with at least 3 dogs and 2 cats per shift (unofficial requirement)
