Requirements
- Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting methods.
- Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency.
- Perform moderately heavy physical labor (large dogs, bags of litter, pet foods, etc).
- Ability to sympathetically and patiently attend to sick, scared and injured animals.
- Ability to learn to administer medications and to recognize abnormal conditions.
- Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
- Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of the job.

Responsibilities
- Ensure each pet has their own room or suite for downtime.
- Facilitate Group-Play environment during the day for pets who pass the temperament test.
- Provide one-on-one time with kennel assistants for pets who do not enjoy group play.
- Keep individual pet rooms/suites, yards, and wards clean and sterile.
- Perform cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, and doing laundry.
- Feed and medicate boarding pets.
- Watch and pass quizzes for the Dog-Gurus series ('Knowing Dogs 101 & 201') to ensure staff are aligned on dog behavior.
- Handle kitties individually in their separate suites and play-room.
- Bathe and groom dogs according to hospital and client standards.
- Interact with pet owners.
