About The Position

Great Opportunity for Pre-Veterinary Students Are you interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine? We are looking for compassionate, motivated, and hardworking individuals to join our team as Veterinary Kennel Assistants. This position is an excellent opportunity for pre-veterinary students seeking hands-on experience in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment while working alongside RVTs, Senior Veterinary Assistants, and DVMs. As a Veterinary Kennel Assistant, you will play an important role in patient care, hospital cleanliness, and daily workflow support while gaining valuable exposure to veterinary medicine and hospital operations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous veterinary experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train motivated candidates who are eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for hospitalized and boarding patients
• Feed, walk, clean, and monitor animals throughout the day
• Maintain clean and comfortable kennels and patient areas
• Observe patient behavior and communicate concerns to medical staff
• Safely handle dogs, cats, and other small animals
• Clean and disinfect kennels, treatment areas, exam rooms, and common spaces
• Restock supplies throughout the hospital
• Assist with laundry and maintaining an organized workspace
• Support RVTs, Senior Veterinary Assistants, and DVMs with daily hospital tasks
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments
• Assist with sterile processing and surgical pack preparation
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization in treatment and surgical areas
