About The Position

We're looking for a dependable, hard-working Veterinary Housekeeper with an excellent work ethic to join our team full-time. Our Porter plays an important role in keeping our animal hospital neat, clean, organized, and free from clutter and odors so our medical team can focus on what they do best: caring for pets. If you take pride in a job well done, enjoy staying active throughout your workday, and don't mind working around animals, we'd love to meet you. As our Veterinary Housekeeper, you'll help maintain the hospital's cleanliness, organization, safety, and overall appearance. This isn't simply a cleaning position. As our Veterinary Housekeeper, your work directly impacts the experience of everyone who walks through our doors. A clean treatment area helps our medical team work efficiently. A welcoming lobby makes clients feel comfortable. Organized spaces help the entire hospital operate more smoothly. And maintaining a clean, safe environment is an important part of providing excellent veterinary care. You'll have a consistent Tuesday through Saturday schedule and a role where you can see the results of your hard work every day.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning throughout the hospital
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
  • Dust and clean surfaces
  • Pick up trash and take it curbside
  • Manage recycling
  • Help keep hospital areas clean, organized, and free from clutter
  • Help maintain an environment free from unpleasant odors
  • Complete basic repairs and minor maintenance tasks as needed
  • Run light errands for the hospital
  • Monitor common areas and address cleaning needs throughout the day
  • Assist with other general hospital tasks as needed
  • Work safely and comfortably around animals
  • Collaborate with teammates to help keep daily hospital operations running smoothly
