About The Position

The Veterinary District Sales Manager is accountable for the execution of the Vet Business Unit (BU) strategy and achievement of business objectives/KPI’s by delivering account-specific sales goals. This is accomplished by identifying clinic opportunities and leveraging sales data. This role works cross-functionally to grow relevance, access to clinics, and Vet recommendation within the assigned geography. This is an individual contributor role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B
  • Veterinary clinic experience preferred
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written)
  • Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Overnight travel required, occasional weekends for conferences; approximately 20-30%+ travel

Responsibilities

  • Ability to translate knowledge of our products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities
  • Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs. Leverage this to grow clinics within assigned geography
  • Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography
  • Develop and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to address the unique needs of the Veterinary staff
  • Develops strong working relationship with key stakeholder groups across the BU & organization. Balances the needs and interests of multiple internal and external stakeholders (Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts and Scientific Affairs)
  • Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • Effectively execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team-based environment. Adept at working in highly fluid, complex, and ever-changing environments
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and routinely adjust the strategies, tactics, and investments based on changing needs to maximize territory performance
  • Manage an expense and sales budget. Complete CRM call reports, expense reports and presentations in a timely and accurate manner
